A bed & breakfast to regenerate by rediscovering peace, silence and the scents of nature

If there is a land that cannot be forgotten because of the insistence of its calls, it is Friuli, especially the Friuli of the mountains and valleys, of towns built and grown over the centuries on a human scale, of mown meadows smelling of haymaking, of streams and rivers, of looming peaks... how many valleys, one better than the other one would say, this region of ours offers.

The Villa's History

Villa Margherita is one of the few houses in Anduins to have been renovated after the 1976 sima.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it was one of the hotels of the nearby renowned spa resort of Anduins.
It later became the residence of a family of industrialists.
This was the birthplace of LIMA (the mosaic inscription at the entrance to the villa is still evident), an important leading company in the medical and mechanical sector that gave and still gives work to a large part of the population of the Arzino Valley.

After the closure of the Alla Posta hotel, the manager, Ivano Zannier, bought the house and shortly afterwards it was inevitable that he would intervene to reintroduce the most widespread pre-earthquake activity in the village: room rental.
The structure, with its park, is the only one in the village to recall the history of tourism linked to the thermal cures of the Anduins springs.

The Rooms and Flats

Three comfortable double rooms, two flats and a mini apartment provide hospitality and relaxation in an environment surrounded by greenery, light, memories and peace.

The daisies, the hydrangeas, the cherry trees, the palm trees: these are their names dedicated to greenery, harmony, their predominant presence!

Comfortable, with all comforts, independent entrance, wooden floors and ceilings, private bathroom, private parking, valley or garden view, wi-fi, heating and air conditioning!

In the new building located in the middle of the park there is a space dedicated to the gym where you can keep fit.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in a characteristic tavern with a fireplace on the ground floor.
Here you can also meet for conversation, reading, playing cards.

No self-service for breakfast! It is strictly served to everyone.
Sweets, biscuits and other specialities come from Squisito, Ivano’s shop in San Daniele del Friuli.

Pool and Park

In this beautiful park, the swimming pool could not be missing! Also equipped for sunbathing. Nearby is a large gazebo where you can also lunch, dine, and chat. A barbecue is available for your barbecues!

The Solarium

For nature fanatics in the upper part of the garden the solarium! Equipped with shower, gazebo and plenty of privacy. From here you enjoy total silence and a unique view of the valley.

Situated in the centre of the village of Anduins, on the road leading to the Fonte Solforosa (300 metres), Villa Margherita enjoys an excellent panoramic position over the Arzino Valley and the Tagliamento River, with a mild and healthy climate and absolute tranquillity that make it the ideal place for relaxing summer stays.

Villa Margherita is open all year round, making it possible to visit the Val d’Arzino in any season and thus take in its fascinating naturalistic, folkloristic and cultural aspects: endless possibilities for walks along the paths of the surrounding mountains, mountain-bike trails, canoeing, fishing and climbing in the nearby Masarach rock gym.

Not to be missed are the Ceconi castle in Pielungo, the Mont di Anduins plateau with the small church of the Madonna della Neve, the parish church of San Martino d’Asio, the Green Caves of Pradis, the village of Fruinz, and the Arzino waterfalls.
Twenty minutes’ drive away is the ‘city of ham’, San Daniele del Friuli, and the ‘city of mosaics’, Spilimbergo.
Within an hour and a half’s drive are the airports of Trieste, Venice and Treviso.
